When the new dress uniforms were issued to replace the “service industry” look they were not really new or designed for the CSC specifically. They were the dress uniform issued to Canada Boarder Services with the CSC crest sewn onto the shoulder and repurposed for our use. All of the rank insignia, years of service badges and firearm achievement patches were struck from the scale of issue. The years of service badges shown below were made for the new dress uniform and submitted to NHQ for consideration by a staff member who designed them and had them embroidered. NHQ completely ignored them.
